Marc 12:28 Un des scribes, qui les avait entendus discuter, sachant que Jésus avait bien répondu aux sadducéens, s’approcha, et lui demanda: Quel est le premier de tous les commandements? 29 Jésus répondit: Voici le premier: Écoute, Israël, le Seigneur, notre Dieu, est l’unique Seigneur;

Only God is Sufficient (A Nice Story)

Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) said:

“An Israeli man asked another Israeli to lend him one thousand Dinars. The second man required witnesses. The former replied, ‘Allah is sufficient as a witness.’ The second said, ‘I want a surety.’ The former replied, ‘Allah is sufficient as a surety.’ The second said, ‘You are right,’ and lent him the money for a certain period. The debtor went across the sea. When he finished his job, he searched for a conveyance so that he might reach in time for the repayment of the debt, but he could not find any. So, he took a piece of wood and made a hole in it, inserted in it one thousand Dinars and a letter to the lender and then closed (i.e. sealed) the hole tightly. He took the piece of wood to the sea and said. ‘O Allah! You know well that I took a loan of one thousand Dinars from so-and-so. He demanded a surety from me but I told him that Allah’s Guarantee was sufficient and he accepted Your guarantee. He then asked for a witness and I told him that Allah was sufficient as a Witness, and he accepted You as a Witness. No doubt, I tried hard to find a conveyance so that I could pay his money but could not find, so I hand over this money to You.’ Saying that, he threw the piece of wood into the sea till it went out far into it, and then he went away. Meanwhile he started searching for a conveyance in order to reach the creditor’s country.
One day the lender came out of his house to see whether a ship had arrived bringing his money, and all of a sudden he saw the piece of wood in which his money had been deposited. He took it home to use for fire. When he sawed it, he found his money and the letter inside it. Shortly after that, the debtor came bringing one thousand Dinars to him and said, ‘By Allah, I had been trying hard to get a boat so that I could bring you your money, but failed to get one before the one I have come by.’ The lender asked, ‘Have you sent something to me?’ The debtor replied, ‘I have told you I could not get a boat other than the one I have come by.’ The lender said, ‘Allah has delivered on your behalf the money you sent in the piece of wood. So, you may keep your one thousand Dinars and depart guided on the right path.’ ”

Saint Tertullian participates in World Hijab Day

Having already undergone the trouble peculiar to my opinion, I will show in Latin also that it behoves our virgins to be veiled from the time that they have passed the turning-point of their age:  that this observance is exacted by truth, on which no one can impose prescription—no space of times, no influence of persons, no privilege of regions.

When the Bible says that Jesus is the son of God, what does it mean?

59. Indeed, the example of Jesus to Allāh is like that of Adam. He created Him from dust; then He said to him, “Be,” and he was. (Holy Quran 3:59)

When we look at the meaning of the word son of God in the Bible, we don’t see it has a divine meaning. Many righteous people in the Bible were called sons of God:

Exo 4:22 And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith Jehovah, Israel is my son, my first-born:

Psa 82:6 I said, Ye are gods, And all of you sons of the Most High.

2Sa 7:14 I(God) will be his father, and he(Solomon) shall be my son

Luk 3:38 the son of Enos, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God.

Mat 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called sons of God.

So we can see through the Bible that the word son of God was not only related to Jesus. John 3:16 is often quoted to say that Jesus is the only begotten son of God. But is this what Jesus understood? Jesus answers this question in John 10:34-36:

Joh 10:34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, ye are gods? Joh 10:35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came (and the scripture cannot be broken), Joh 10:36 say ye of him, whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?

So Jesus here quotes Psalms 82:6 quoted above which talks about the judges in the Old Testament being called gods and compares this with himself by saying that since it is not a blasphemy that these people were called gods, it is not a blasphemy as well that I am called son of God. This is because Jesus knows that the word son of God didn’t give him any divine meaning, but it is the same as other righteous people being called gods or sons of God. It’s just a metaphor not a real meaning.

This is what Jesus himself understood. So why don’t we follow Jesus over any other one? Jesus never said I am God. Jesus says that the Father is the only true God (John 17:3). Jesus says that he is a man and son of man, while Numbers 23:19 says that God is neither a man nor the son of man. Jesus is not God.

72. They have certainly disbelieved who say, “Allāh is the Messiah, the son of Mary” while the Messiah has said, “O Children of Israel, worship Allāh, my Lord and your Lord.” Indeed, he who associates others with Allāh – Allāh has forbidden him Paradise, and his refuge is the Fire. And there are not for the wrongdoers any helpers. (Holy Quran 5:72)

Atrocities made by Christians

Atrocities made by Christians

Do you know who these people are? These are Christians who murdered civilian Muslims.
The media usually tries to make Muslims look like terrorists and that all terrorists are Muslims to deliver a picture that Islam teaches to kill non Muslims. Well, to know what Islam teaches we should open the Quran and see what Prophet Mohammed said in order to understand what Islam says. Otherwise we should say that Christianity teaches terrorism because of the actions of some Christian terrorists. This post shall deal with some of them as shown in the photo:

1.The Crusades:
During the medieval, Catholic Christians through the orders of the Pope invaded Muslim cities in Turkey, Syria, Lebanon and Palestine. The Crusaders arrived at Jerusalem, launched an assault on the city, and captured it in July 1099, massacring tens of thousands of the city’s Muslim, Orthodox Christian, and Jewish inhabitants.

2. Massacres in Bosnia by the Serbians:
In the 1990s, Orthodox Serbians committed horrible massacres against Muslims in Bosnia. One of these massacres were the Srebrenica massacre, also known as the Srebrenica genocide. It was the genocidal July 1995 killing of more than 8,000 Bosniaks, mainly men and boys, in and around the town of Srebrenica during the Bosnian War. This was a massacre in one day. Hundreds of thousands of Muslims were murdered through this period.

3. US invasion of Iraq:
After the horrible siege that was made against Iraq which caused hundreds of thousands of Iraqi children to die, George Bush decided to invade Iraq by promoting a lie that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction which was proven to be wrong through the UN inspectors and the fact that clearly appeared after the invasion. The war resulted in murder of one_million Iraqis and many notorious acts of torture and rape were recorded. George Bush claimed before that his war against Afghanistan is a crusade. The war against Afghanistan resulted in the murder of tens of thousands of civilians.

4. Muslim persecution in Central Africa:
Last year, Muslims in Central Africa are facing genocide by Christian militias. Before the conflict, there were some 800,000 Muslims in Central African Republic and now only about 20,000 remain, scattered around in 16 different enclaves surrounded by hostile militias. It is a situation reminiscent of Bosnia in the 1990s when Serbs attempted to ethnically cleanse Muslim areas.

The point is that it is not the case that Muslims are the terrorists although there many unacceptable acts made by Muslims. Actually the atrocities made by Christians are much much more. The point is that to know about Islam or Christianity we should read what the Muslim and Christian scriptures teach not to judge any through some acts made by Christians or Muslims.

Jesus is Muslim

Islam and Equality Between All People

Islam teaches us that all people are equal against God. Allah tells in the Quran:

13.   O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allāh is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allāh is Knowing and Acquainted. (Holy Quran 49:13)

Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) says:

All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over a black nor a black has any superiority over a white – except by piety and good action. (Ahmed)

Morals of Islam

Islamic Belief in the Bible

Christians think that Muslims believe that all the Bible is false. That’s why when Muslims cite the Bible to prove that Prophet Muhammad was foretold in the Bible or that Jesus is not God, Christians may ask: if you don’t believe in the Bible, why do you cite it? In other cases, they may cite what the Quran tells about the Torah being sent to Moses or the Gospel sent to Jesus or the Psalms sent to David. Christians use these verses to say that the Quran is actually saying that the Torah and Gospels are true. This is because they don’t understand how Muslims believe in the books of Jews and Christians.

Prophet Muhammad tells us neither to believe the people of the book nor to disbelieve in them. If it is false, Muslims won’t confirm it, and if it is true, then Muslims won’t deny it. The Quran actually acknowledges some truth in the Bible as stoning the adulterer and that it tells that an eye for an eye and tooth for a tooth. It also tells many stories of the prophets which in many cases resemble the stories of the prophets in the Bible. On the other hand, the Quran disagrees with the Bible when it says that God rested after He created the Heaven and Earth. The Quran disagrees with the Bible when it says that Aaron ordered the Israelites to worship the calf. Muslims believe that God Almighty doesn’t rest or repent. Muslims believe that prophets are sent from God to teach people about Him, so they should be an ideal model so that people follow them. If the prophet was worshiping idols or if he was an adulterer or a liar, then people won’t have any incentive to obey God.

We as Muslims believe that the Bible as any other previous book or any apocryphal book may contain truth and falsehood. The case is that the previous books sent from God were subject to interpolations either by addition or omission or replacement. This caused the books present now to be distorted where truth is mixed with falsehood. God sent the Quran as the final pure word of God as a judge on the previous books since it contains the absolute truth.

A question is raised here; isn’t God able to protect his books? For sure God is able to protect His books, but God didn’t promise the Jews and Christians to protect their books. On the other hand, God ordered the Jews to keep their books, neither to add or to omit. A promise is different from an order. If God promised to protect a book, then no one can change a letter from it. But if God ordered people to keep the book, then people may obey God and may disobey Him. For example, God ordered Israelites not to worship idols, but many of them did. God ordered the Israelites to keep their book, but they disobeyed God. This is not the case of the Quran where God promised to protect it since it is the final book sent from God that contains the absolute truth and whom all people should follow till the end of days. This is simply the belief of Muslims in the Bible.

Did Jesus Say That He Is God?

One of the most famous points of debate between Muslims and Christians is the nature of Jesus. Is Jesus God? To answer this question, we must refer to what Jesus himself said, as no one knows about Jesus more than what he knows about himself.

In the Gospel of John, verse 17:3, Jesus was clear in showing that the Father is the only true God. This is a clear proof that Jesus is not God. Christians believe that the Father is not Jesus as they are two different persons although they are one God. Actually those who believed that the Father is the son were a heretic sect that appeared in the third century. So if Jesus is not the Father, and the Father is the only true God, the conclusion will be that Jesus is not God.

This is what Jesus understood, he tells that he is a man telling the truth he heard from God. He frequently calls himself the son of man. This proves that Jesus is not God, since the Old Testament never said that God shall become a man. On the other hand, it tells in Numbers 23:19 that God is neither a man nor the son of man. If Jesus is God, didn’t he know what the Old Testament says?

But was Jesus asked this question? Did anyone accuse him of saying that he is God? Yes, the Jews did it. Jesus answered them and denied that he is God. When he was asked that question by the Jews in John 10:33, he quoted Psalm 82:6, which tells that some mere men in the Old Testament were called gods and sons of God. Did anyone believe that Psalm 82:6 is a blasphemy? No. Did anyone believe that these people were God the Creator? No. So why did the Jews consider calling Jesus son of God a blasphemy? This is simply proving that calling Jesus the son of God is the same as calling these people gods and sons of God. Both are not taken literally. This is a clear denial by Jesus that he is God.

Jesus never said that he can do anything by his own power, but he was always referring to the Father’s power. Jesus said that he doesn’t know the hour, only the Father knows it. He even needed an angel to strengthen him. God doesn’t need His creatures. Jesus says that the Father is greater than him. He is simply denying that he is equal to God. So how do we say that Jesus is God?

Jesus says : I am not God

Did Jesus really say I am God?
